Back to School and the Associated Mayhem

As schools are back it is worthwhile reflecting on the very poor standard of parking ,driving and general disregard for other drivers that is displayed by most school chauffeurs; both mums and dads.

Most of these adults are always in a frenetic rush , usually due to work constraints, and therefore leave behind the common courtesies such as spending a little time to find a safe parking space or reversing into said space instead of rushing headlong into the gap headfirst. This means that said car then has to reverse out into the road into the line of other motorists trying to attempt the same manoeuvres.

Reversing out into the road has always been regarded as a dangerous trait and it causes a lot of inconvenience to other road users so don’t do it …ever!

Since there are many schools dotted around Driving Test routes it should be obvious that if you are taking your test at schools in or schools out time you should take a lot of extra care and preferably suss out these schools on your route before your test and even park and watch the antics so that you will be well prepared for the worst on your test day.
