Irish driving test questions

Irish Driving Test questions are arranged into several categories and if you want to give yourself a fair chance of passing the Driving Test first time then some serious study needs to be undertaken. Driving is a serious business and anyone who ventures out onto the road without realizing this is both a fool and a serious threat to all other road users!!

(1)            You will be asked up to 12-15 questions on the Rules of the Road after verifying your identity to the Examiner. This takes place in the office.

(2)            You will asked to switch the ignition on when you have walked out to your car so that the Examiner can check your Indicators ,Front and Rear; also your brake lights. Any faulty equipment will lead to the Test not taking place!

(3)            You will be asked to open the Bonnet so that the Technical Checks questions can be answered. However if it is raining then the examiner can still ask the same questions from the comfort of the front seat.

(4)            There are a number of Technical check questions that relate to equipment that is not located under the bonnet.

(5)            Questions will be asked about the Secondary controls and you will need to show good accurate knowledge of these and be able to demonstrate all the various knobs and switches. Remember every piece of equipment in your car is there for a purpose and you need to know how and when to use it!

This is not Rocket Science but will take some time and effort to be able to answer with 100% accuracy. You can easily lose a mark on poor performance with these questions even before you have commenced your Drive so be WARNED
