Tuition Fees

Driving Lessons are not inexpensive but they are a necessary expense in getting you to a certain stage where you will at least not be a threat to  other Drivers and where you can work away steadily to improve your new skills.

Driving “lessons” with Friends, Relatives or Parents do not come under the heading of Lessons but more of Practise.

No acquaintances are equipped to teach a novice Driver the exacting techniques and manoeuvres that are required to get a head start today, despite what you or they may think! After you have mastered the basic techniques under Qualified Tuition Conditions …then by all means get additional practise under the watchful eye of an experienced Driver …not someone who has just passed their Test!

New Legislation is imminent (July 2008)which will require every single learner driver to be accompanied by a fully licensed Driver and in addition we expect that there will be not only mandatory tuition before long,but a time period in which you will not be allowed to sit the Driving Test having just taken out your Learner Permit.

Lessons Format

Lessons are of Two hours Duration.

Pick up and set down can be flexible to suit your working or study situation. We can pick up at Work and finish at Home or whatever suits within a reasonable Distance.

We are very happy to take Pupils from outlying areas within a radius of 25 miles or so of Limerick. It must be pointed out that Lessons will commence at pick up point and finish at set down point.

In the past we have been very generous with our mileage allowance for out of Town Pupils in other words an allowance would be made for the time taken to get to and return from the Practise or Beginner Nursery Slopes with a full two hours of tuition commencing at the practise area.

Due to horrendous fuel increases over the last year, We can no longer offer this free facility and lessons will start at the pick up point.

Scale of Fees

Basic Tuition is pitched at…….         €40.00 per hour.

Two hour session is…………...           €80.00

One Hour Pre Test Warm-up…..       €40.00

Mock Test with debrief....              €100.00 (this is a 2 hour session on several Test Routes)

Hire of School Car for Driving Test... €140.00 (includes One Hour Warm Up)

Block bookings paid for in Advance   (5 sessions of Two hours) will receive a discount

of €40.00 or 10 %.

School Car can only be made available to qualifying Pupils who book in advance and take a minimum of Six Hours (3 sessions) of Tuition outside of the Driving Test Appointment itself.

A Two hour qualifying Session, where the Pupil/Candidate is assessed for suitability to Hire the School Car  will be counted towards the Six Hours in total
